Staff Accountant

Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (ASI) is looking for a Staff Accountant with solid experience in AP, AR and GL reconciliations for our office in Sterling, Virginia. ASI is a dynamic company seeking a detail-oriented and responsible professional who enjoys a fast paced environment. 

This position will be responsible for: 
• Entry of vendor invoices w/subsequent coding and classification, post approval
• Verification and entry of customer invoices; dissemination of documentation to customers for payment
• Reconciliation of assigned general ledger accounts, research and resolution of open items, preparation of adjusting entries
• Generation of reports and other accounting duties as assigned
• Preservation of company and employee confidentiality
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• 2-4 years of accounting experience in a business environment
• Proficiency with MS Excel and QuickBooks
• Ability to work in team environment and meet strict deadlines
• Personal integrity and ability to handle sensitive business and personal information
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments

Kevin Burr joins Aeronautical Systems, Incorporated (ASI) as the Vice President of OEM Programs.

Aeronautical Systems, Incorporated (ASI) welcomes Kevin Burr as ASI’s Vice President of OEM Programs.

Kevin will be responsible for strengthening and enhancing ASI’s existing agreements with OEMs and for fueling future growth by establishing new communication channels and business relationships between ASI and major original equipment manufacturers. In addition to building ASI’s portfolio of capabilities through OEM partnering, Kevin will focus on licensing and distribution agreements, sustainment and repair programs for legacy platforms and establishing additional partnerships within the supply base. Kevin has hit the ground running and is already negotiating a joint proposal for a foreign military support contract.

“Kevin’s extensive experience in this industry and our shared history together makes him uniquely qualified to lead our partnership initiatives,” said CEO Phil Rodriguez. “He has a wealth of experience in the industry that will help us expand our strategic alliances in order to better serve the aftermarket, specifically in airframe and propulsion.”

Kevin Burr, Vice President of OEM Programs

Kevin joined ASI after 32 years of service with Helicopter Support, Inc. (HSI) and Sikorsky Aircraft supporting the military and commercial rotorcraft market. His career included positions leading customer service, supply chain, program management and various director-level positions, including Director of Military Programs. This ground-up experience and his comprehensive knowledge of the rotorcraft industry in both the military and commercial markets will be invaluable to his new role at ASI.

Kevin joined Aeronautical Systems on August 24th, 2015, and the company looks forward to the energy and focus he will bring to their global support of military and commercial fleets. ASI has 27 years of experience providing mission readiness solutions for US built platforms, with specific strengths in the support of the legacy aircraft.
