Aeronautical Systems, Inc., Year in Review 2010, With Pictures

STERLING, Va., March 11, 2011 – Growth and change are in the air at Aeronautical Systems Inc. (ASI), a major provider worldwide of components and systems to support fleet readiness for military aircraft and helicopters. The Sterling, Va., based firm has logged its most successful year ever, with record sales in 2010 and early 2011, and further expansion is under way.

Highlights of key achievements and plans include:
• ASI expanded its F-15 and F/A-18 support capabilities and laid the groundwork to double the size of its facilities. Both activities are key as ASI opens new markets and serves a growing list of customers, including selection by an Original Equipment Manufacturer to support repair initiatives.
• ASI continued and expanded existing cooperative agreements with the U.S. Navy.  These cooperative agreements together with an embedded ASI engineer enables ASI to continue to offer top quality repair and spare parts and to expand support of foreign military fleets.
• Chief Financial Officer Kathie Kent was promoted to Chief Operating Officer. Other staff expansion includes the addition of sales and marketing specialists, engineers, and operational staff. Kent’s experience, vision and passion for ASI’s success are key to its growth strategy moving forward.
• A significant rebranding and marketing effort has better aligned the company’s image with its position as a world-class aerospace enterprise. Increased attendance at key industry events and trade shows, such as Farnborough and Paris, underscores this focus on high-level marketing and brand building.
• ASI President Phil Rodriguez was honored to join U.S. President Barack Obama and other elite business leaders as part of a special delegation and Presidential visit to India.

ASI’s continuing ability to grow and thrive in a challenging economic climate rests with its exceptional engineering and problem-solving capabilities. Custom solutions, new engineering drawings and models, site support and troubleshooting, for example, are all in a day’s work for the dedicated team of aircraft experts united with a single focus: maintaining mission readiness.

For over 20 years, ASI has focused on specific military aircraft and geographic markets to provide comprehensive solutions for component and systems repair, parts provisioning, engineering support and supply chain management to enable our customers to keep their fleets flying with confidence. ASI is an ISO-certified company with ASQ-certified engineers and is an active member of the Aerospace Industries Association.
